I kid you not:

Did you hear that someone has patented a process for removing the bristles from an electric toothbrush in order to make a “sexual massage device that is small and discrete?” U.S. Patent No. 7,186,226 has been issued for this device.

We have 2 electric toothbrushes, neither of which are used. But it does give one pause for thought.
